Simplified Design of Steel Members

This design guide has been produced to meet the demand from practising structural design engineers for a document which assists users to become familiar with design using the limit state Steel Structures Standard NZS 3404:1997. The emphasis is on assisting and explaining how to use the provisions which apply to the common problems encountered in routine design. The principal aim is to assist designers who are new to limit state steel design to carry out basic design of steel members as simply and quickly as possible.
